Hey Guys,

Can we have our opinion on which hatchback has best suspension and road handling capabilities. Following are the options

* Maruti Suzuki Swift
* Hyundai Getz
* Ford Fusion
* Hyundai Santro
* Maruti Wagon R
* M - 800
* Zen Estilo
* Tata Indica
* Tata Marina
* Fiat Palio 1.1/1.2
* Fiat Palio 1.6

IMO it should be the Getz or Fusion

Undoubtedly the Getz followed by the Swift.

Can you please add: Fiat Palio 1.2/1.1 and Palio 1.6 to the list!

Include a poll option, so that the results would be easily read

Please clarify what you are asking road holding/road handling, comfort etc.,

I would say Fusion/Getz for comfort

Also the chevrolet's have been left out the aveo u-va and the spark.

Mods,

Can you please add Chevy UVA and Chevy Spark to the list.

Road Handling = Comfort / Holding / Cornering capabilities.

It will be great if Poll can be added to get better assessment of the result.

:agree: completely.
Swift is the most fun to drive. It handles well, sticks to the road and precise cornering ability. A good comfortable drive offered too.
My vote goes for Swift, then Palio and Getz.

You should realize that handling and ride-comfort are inversely proportional.

If its the best handling hatch: Swift
Most comfortable ride: Indica - road aberrations hardly filter in at all.

Cornering and Braking are two important aspects of handling and in both these departments STOCK swift VDI with 165/80/14 tyres Sucks (My personal experience).

Handling : Swift
Ride : Indica

Best of both the Worlds : Palio 1.2 NV

Yup. Maruti should be hauled into court for providing such incapable tyres on such a car.

The Indica, Palio and Getz have the most balanced on-road behaviour. They are also the most suited for highway runs.

In terms of the fun-to-drive quotient, I guess its the Swifts suspension.

Don't want to start a big debate. But why is Swift's handling better than Palio? wider body or stiffer suspension?
