Nope, this October is out of the question. As NC had reported earlier, the likely launch date is March '08 since Oct '08 is likely to the be the new City launch.

If this is what we will get, its dissappointing. It looks more like a Hyundai Sonata than a Honda. We get the American model here dont we?

That is the American model! Traditionally, the American model is the ugliest one of the lot...and we get stuck with it :(

Why do most of the cars coming out looks bloated or swollen up. I found teh E46 beemer to be more sleek than the current E90. Same goes for the Accord the older one looked more taught than this fatty with a larger rear than Jlo.

This car is going to sell more than its predecessor and be a success! Anything that is Honda sells in India. So the trend will continue...

And where is the competition to give Honda a challenge?? And Toyota Camry is still very very expensive and uglier! (IMO). Only Toyota is doing a bad job!

Honda should have used the JDM model for India. We too have small roads and don't need the big US ones.

the looks are really disappointing.... after the current Accord, I was expecting something way better.

The current Accord is one of the best looking sedans. And the facelifted model looks even better....

The 4-cyl now pumps out 190 bhp with no inc in displacement-----GOOD
V6 gets cylinder shutoff and 29 mpg hwy------GOOD
Car is also quite a bit larger than before-----NOT GOOD

i think the new honda is a bit dissapointing in the looks department. honda keeping with the current ones should have stuck to a sleeker design instead of opting for the hyundai sonata sort of looks. i think they are opting for the big is better veiw point keeping with the toyota camry. power wise the car wont dissapoint keeping with its tradition.
would the new version be the same price or more expensive then the current ones? i think we should just wait for the car to hit the showrooms to see what it looks like in the flesh.

The problem is that we are going to see more and more of these high nose designs all thanks to the new pedestrian safety regulations that are coming into force mainly in the US. Notice that most new car - the 7 series, new C class etc, all have this ugly high nose.
