Hi all,

Like most of us know that currently what we have as three different models viz. M800, Zen & Alto are nothing but diff generations of Suzuki Alto. Is there any other country where suzuki or any other Car maker has diff generations of a model simultaneously in production ??

Hit the nail right on, Technocrat.

I have discussed this before, theres no other place in the world where all three generations of the same car are selling side by side. And a newer gen (Alto) sells for less than the older gen (Zen).

But such are market dynamics in India. And no one in the world can make a Maruti 800 with a price tag of 2 lacs. Indians dont necessarily want a small car...but they do want a cheap car

In south africa the mark 1 golf is still made as the "citigolf" along side current golf. I think you meant to say Zen is more costly than the alto !
