but then wasnt that grill supposed to be only on the special edition 150 cars ?

now what happens to those cars that were bought as the special edition? they will look the same as the 2005 ny optra..no novelty factor ??

whoaa...

novelty doesnt last for long...it wud have become a passe neways.

But the alloys i believe are different...and the special editions i saw were in one colour only that was something like gold brownish.

So i guess you can differentiate them from the alloys atleast if not the colour.

Had been to the GM website and checked it out. All of the new features (ABS, EBD, 15" Alloys, Dual Airbags etc.) are available only for the 1.8LT and above, and some for 1.8LS. For 1.6, its all the same except for the new grille. But overall a good move considering that Elantra and Skoda were harping on the fact that Optra lacked the safetey features like ABS, Dual Airbags etc.

I prefer this new grille. The old one was too Daewooish and too korean.
but kudos to GM. ABS, Twin Air bags, EBD, great to know that safety is being given top priority and to top it all this for 7.5 L.

For 7.5L you still get the existing Optra with the new grille. You need to pay 8.5L+ to get some new features and around 10L to get all of them.
