Huh? The NHC is very common on our roads but still not outdated. On the other hand, you have cars like the Palio which arent really common but still outdated. Good sales / "common on the roads" do not make a car outdated.

To me, an outdated car means a car that has been left behind by the competition in terms of fit & finish, engineering, power & performance, safety, on-road behaviour etc. Therefore my list would be:

1. HM Ambassador
2. Ford Ikon
3. Fiat Palio
4. Maruti 800
5. Maruti Esteem
6. Mitsubishi Lancer
7. Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8
8. Tata Safari

Some folks have said Indica, but I think the design still works beautifully. I drive a Swift petrol, but I'd love to buy a Indica(if it came with the 1.3 multijet) over the swift VDi. They'd need a new gearbox and switchgear though.

How about a new face to the Mahindra Jeep?? it is WWII material carried forward to this day with only engine modifications.

Unfortunately, the road conditions haven't improved much in kerala, have they? WWII material still makes sense.

IMO lancer is timeless. I have a lancer and have the dough to upgrade but still love the drooly stares my car gets on the road. No other car in the market can give me that. Will save enough dough to get myself a sporty two door power-horse or a nice merc. Till then I am very happy with my sfx.

first and foremost lancer followed by the ambassador and then the esteem. on second thought maybe the accent and the ikon also.

IMHO,
I think the Esteem, 800 look really outdated.
I personally like the Octavia's lines and love the Lancer.
IMHO the Cedia (not the sports) looks older than the lancer.
Then there is the Accent.
But i love the looks of the Ikon still. looks young and fast!

Guys what is "facelift" It is change in bumpers, lights etc... If the manufacturers change the design and give it another name then it becomes a new car??? is that what is mean by this thread? If the design is changed altogether would it actually remain the same car?
