Looks like only feature updates. But glad and surprised to see Tigor (at that price) with a 360 degree camera!!

Hyundai should wake up and bring it to the costlier i20 and update the Aura.

I was hoping that they will bring out the seven speed DCA as a surprise, but maybe they have kept it for the next generation.

ACI had reported, back in Nov 2024, that Tiago-Tigor's current generation will get the last facelift in 2025. Next generation is expected in 2026-27.

Re: 2025 Tata Tiago, Tigor and Tiago.ev facelifts priced at Rs. 4.99, 5.99 and 7.99 lakhs respective

The silhouette of both Tiago and Tigor appear the same and even the headlamp units from side look same as current generation from the teased images.

I speculate Tiago and Tigor would get these updates
  • New interior upholstery
  • Some changes to front and rear bumpers
  • Infotainment and steering units of Nexon used in Tigor and Tiago.
  • HD rear camera of Nexon which has good clarity used in Tiago and Tigor.
  • 360 degree camera of Nexon makes its debut in Tigor.

The sub 4m compact sedans - Dzire, Amaze and now Tigor have so much to offer and at good price point. Who would have imagined that we would get 360 degree camera in cars under ₹10lakh about 5 years back. This is the reason why we need good competitive products. Hyundai Aura is the only one that got left out and would feel archaic if Hyundai does not update it.

Now that's a feature loaded Tigor, save for the almost 8 year old design, every other thing is well in place now, or rather on par with contemporary tech.

No doubt the design still holds good and has aged well, but 8 years is a long time, both the cars need a generation change and not mere facelift in 2025.
When Tiago was launched the Swift was selling in its 2nd gen (although in its last leg), and right now Swift is in its fourth gen!

In terms of tech Tata is catching up to Maruti (Dzire), in terms of safety Maruti is catching up to Tata, that's the benefit of healthy competition in market, where eventually consumer is the biggest winner.

The updates have something very important missing: 6 Airbags.

I think Tiago/Tigor are the only cars in the TATA lineup that do not offer 6 airbags even as option.

So it seems the body is incapable from design perspective to incorporate 6 airbags.

With DZire and Amaze upping the game with 6 airbags as standard across the range, and 5 Star GNCAP rating for the DZire, TATA has no longer the trump card of "safest compact sedan" as it had till a couple of years ago.

They really need to make structural changes if required and have 6 airbags standard in the range, and send the cars for fresh round of GNCAP/BNCAP tests. The 4 star rating is also obsolete now.

Does Tata even know what they're doing? Plonking that piano Black scratch nightmare of a steering into every car of theirs. Instead of calling it a facelift, they should've called it the interior lift version. One has to go really deep down inside the pics to even see the difference outside. Not adding important features like 6 airbags standard or bigger batteries in the Tiago.ev is a bummer. And what happened to Tigor EV ? You surely remember that ? Plus, where is the Altroz EV we have been waiting for since 2019 ?

I agree, even though it's an 8 year old design, it still looks good. Though, if the had 'facelifted' it and brought it into the current design language, I think it would look, honestly, pretty bland. Almost all TATA cars have the same face now, the Nexon, Curvv, Punch, Safari and the Harrier. But, that face is only on their SUVs, the Altroz and these, still have 'oh, we're not SUVs' look to them

Whilst the feature list has been improved, and the changes to the dashboard, the outside looks 99% pre facelift.
Nevertheless, well priced and still desirable cars to have in this segment. Unfortunately automatic gear desirous buyers still have to make do with the wonky AMT.

The Tiago has made quite the inroad into this segment, where Maruti has always ruled the roost. Maruti seems to have missed the mark with the Celerio facelift. While the changes were all to taste, the price was atrocious. Tata, offering a Tiago with more feel good functionality made a compelling buy despite having the wheezy 1.2 engine. People shopping in the segment don't seem to care about driving frills too much. This facelift, if successful will prove just that. It has all the makings of a great seller. Hope Tata fix their QC and customer service issues, which are just horrendous and unacceptable.

They could've added stuff like powered rear windows, remote key lock/unlock and a basic music system in the base variant of the Tiago EV with the refresh. It's like TATA doesn't want anyone to buy the variant. I can understand if it was a cheap car like the Maruti Alto, but this thing costs 8 lakh rupees.

The Alto VXI(o) AGS is 6.7Lakhs on road. The Tiago EV base is 8.7L on road. For about 2 lakhs more, you get a more spacious, safer and smoother city car. But then you do compromise on reliability, range and a little bit on features.

If only the Tiago was reliable, it would have been the ideal city car!! People stay away from Tata cars due to the poor reliability records.

Considering Maruti is wanting 8.50 lakhs on road for the Ignis Alpha which doesn't even have half the features of the Tiago, the Tiago makes it a good buy at the price although we are getting a 3 cylinder still makes sense.
