I prefer the Optra , its the best VFM package.
IMO it looks great also.
ANd I dont care if its a Daewoo Nubira Badged Optra
The car is simply elegant, has great interiors.

The skoda is BIG, but whats the use if there is no enough room for a 6 foot person in the rear .
Plus the price diff between the Octi and the Optra is also wide
approx 3 laks for the base 1.8 Optra and Ambiente OCti.

I agree with GTO, and my vote goes for the corolla. Built like a tank, decently good looking ( dont like the tail lamp cluster though) but will last a lifetime.
Good engine nice high driving position, and offcourse it is one of the highest selling cars in the world in its segment.

Why nots :
Optra - Korean sheep in a American wolf makeover
Octavia - Not bad, but I would say dated. ( offcourse RS rocks but then thats not in the comparison basket.
Lancer - I dont think this car belongs in this company.

Ovtavia, No doubt!! It is something refreshing for the indian market. And all things considered, its the best out of the lot by far. However, i feel that Skoda unnecessarily compromised on the rear leg space by having the bedroom behind it. Another thing is that Skoda have made a mistake with the Superb. It will get eaten by the competition!

The Octy for me too especially if it's the RS.
I really like the Optra too but it lost to the Octavia on the engine department.

But I think the Optra has a better ride than the Octavia. (my point of view)

I guess you are talking about the Skoda octavia 2.0 here bcoz RS is priced much much higher than the competition.

I would certainly rate the RS first.

but against the octavia 2.0 my choice would certainly be the invecs.

Just loved the car when I test drove it.
