Renault is now offering a CNG kit option with the Kwid, Kiger and Triber. The cost of the retrofit varies depending on the model. It is priced at Rs 75,000 for the Kwid, while Triber and Kiger customers can get it installed by paying Rs 79,500.



According to Renault, the CNG kit is available across all variants, except for the Turbo trims. The hardware has been homologated and meets all safety and performance standards. It even comes with a 3-year warranty.



Renault will launch the CNG kit across India in a phased manner. Initially, it will be available in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra, which make up 65% of the market.



While the CNG kits have been duly validated to ensure there is no impact on driving performance, the overall output of the engine is expected to drop slightly when running on CNG.

This makes me believe Renault has nothing to launch for the coming years, even the new Duster launch rumours feel like a sham. Renault is coming up with minor additions just to stay in the news, not sure if these minor additions actually add value or are just to make some publicity for them selves.

I wont be surprised if after a few years the Nissan Renault group pack up and leave entirely. When I say few, I mean after these products reach the end of their lifecycle.

Retrofit meaning cars that don't have it at present can gave it fitted on their cars. CNG fitting ain't cheap . You are only to save about 15-20% on fuel at best I guess. I don't know how much distance you would need to travel to make up for 70,000+.

There is a Lovato dealer in Bangalore who has installed a CNG kit on AMT and other automatic vehicles across all brands like BMW, Toyota, Tata, Hyundai, Renault, and Skoda. I found his videos on YouTube, which may be useful to you,

I assume so. Honda dealers do it for their CVT Amaze.

Can anyone explain why is turbo excluded?
