I opened the Acko app for checking some details on my CB300R and discovered that there are 2 traffic violation fines on the vehicle on opening the violation images I was laughing they had fined a white coloured Access 125 with the same number as mine but the difference was my number plate has the letters KA03 KY and the access was a KA03 KV.

However I wasn't paying ₹1000 for a fine for somebody else and that too for an error by the traffic police, i was looking to go to the Indian express traffic center to get this corrected but was also looking for a simpler means (read online), Vaahan portal had a section specially for this and as expected it didn't work !!

A few days later I happened to approach a traffic constable lounging leisurely near Shantinagar bus stop and asked him advice on what to do
He shared the following 2 email addresses.
bangloretrafficpolice@gmail.com and
automationpubbcp@ksp.gov.in and was confident one of them would surely reply.

So i wrote the following email with a picture of my number plate and a few days later the fines were removed, note particularly the conciseness if the email and the response as well.



Frankly I was just shooting an arrow in the dark but I seemed to have hit my mark.

Good that you had a positive experience and this is indeed very useful.
I think this should be spawned as a separate thread of its own just to capture the mail ids for posterity.

Whenever there is some new engagement with government, it stays good for 6 months or a year and then starts deteriorating as our fellow citizens start hacking the system - applicable both ways.

I had repeated traffic fines levied on my erstwhile RE CGT 650. It was some bugger on a Suzuki Access 125 using a fake plate with my bike’s number on it (a special number).

I did raise a ticket via the KSP app, but to no avail. It showed Under Dispute for ages.

I did sell the bike eventually.

It's the second email, the KSP one. Been active for a few years now.

One can also dispute a challan in person at BTP HQ near Cunningham Rd.

I wanted to do that and like I said wanted an easier way out!! Give the lazy guy a tough Task and he will find the quickest way to do it

Well let's hope this system works or some newer system comes in perhaps with AI to eliminate the natural stupidity

What if the vehicle has a ticket before it was bought (used)? My car has about 3K worth fines before I bought it. Yes, I know I should have verified before purchase!

Send an email to automationpubbcp@ksp.gov.in , if there is no response then send a reminder. I got my issue resolved around 10 days back.

If they belong to your vehicle then in my opinion you have no way out but to pay.....if you are incorrectly fined then send a mail with proper proof's ..Good Luck

How do you deal with arbitrary challans? I have 2 on my car, which state I've been blocking traffic. Just a photo of my car, that's it. I have challenged them on the Maha Traffic app, but they deny it.. what can I do now?

Thanks for the information. I have wrong challans on my vehicle, and I have sent a mail to the email automationpubbcp@ksp.gov.in. The Catch now is, the digitab photo is not showing now and I had taken a copy of this digitab photo sometime back, which I have attached now, in the email. I think there is an expiry to the number of days that the digitab photo is preserved in the system and it is now gone. Mine is an old case , registered way back in 2022. Let's see how this dispute resolution goes.
