Is that confirmed or another speculation ?

Its not a premium engine anymore. The FIAT's 1.3 is a master piece.

Finally!

This is a MUCH awaited car for me! I bought my Getz 1.3 last year after abandoning all hopes of a Getz Diesel. If only it had come out a year earlier!

IF priced right this car is gonna rock the sales chart! Gotta visit my dealer in the evening!!!

110 bhp for the getz!!To compete with swift they need to put the production cost low.Anything below six lakhs in the pricing will be a hit..I personally like getz coz its a very spacious car for a small hatch.90 bhp will be more than enough for the Getz diesel..

If 5.69 is for the base version and considering a detuned engine with around 100bhp max.

Well then, get a LDi, add Pete and for < 5.69 you can potentially neutralise the power advantage.

Getz 5.69 Lacs Ex Showroom + 20k(ABS)
OTR Mumbai - ~ 6.5L
15inchers + 205s = 40k
Petes Tuning Box - 30k
Green Filter - 7k
Struts and Suspension work for better handling - 20k

Less then 7Lacs and voila Hot Hot Hatch with 125bhp power and 26KGM TORQUE

I guess there will be waiting period for getz diesel also .

Else
In recent times, the page with the word 'pricing' has been prised out of the car makers dictionary.

This was one chance that Hyundai had to catch Maruti sleeping on its loong waiting list for the Swift diesel. Come on, sharing an engine should technically bring down costs. Well, it might be worth looking at once the discount season kicks in.

What is the change needed for the Struts and Suspension work? Can somebody describe in detail?

One car I have been waiting for sooo looong !!! At last its coming !!

Trust me guys - I will be one of the first buyers for this beauty !!

I think it will be more like 85 - 90 BHP , 110 BHP Will be crazzyyyy.

Pricing OTR ( North India ) should not be more than 6Lacs ( top end model ).

Bang ON!
A single VGT costs more than two normal turbos.
So, a regular turbo with tuning for lesser lag and lesser boost will be used.
Power should be around 80-90bhp . More than this and there will be severe Turbo lag.

I mean strut braces for better handling, there is no need for suspension work on the Getz, but if you want to make it a hot hatch then you need to work on the suspension also, hehe Dont worry buddy the Getz has a good suspension, only thing if you want to better it, you need to work on it, JD Madan's Getz has pedders, it corners awesomly.
