Where dfoes this new car leave space for the current Santro???

Its is a tight fit between Santro and Getz... May be... The current Santro shall be phased out...

Or prices dropped to create space for the new arrival. Will also give a tough fight to MUL products in that range.

If this new car is indeed released by the year-end, expect the Santro to become the Alto's competitor then.

That brought the memories of the Matiz-Santro war when these cars were launched.

Hyundai has plans to introduce another car between Santro & Getz & as of now its called PA, so this one could actually be the PA & not Santro

Quote:
Hyundai seems to be following the footsteps of Maruti. Hyundai put more cars in the small car segment which constitutes 70% of the Indian car industry. Hyundai do not want to miss a single customer. It has cars for everyone’s requirement. Truly it is the only player who has cars in most of the segments. Hyundai makes makes India a major export base for small car. Hyundai is more enthusiastic and plans to launch series of cars for India. 1.5L diesel version of Getz, new face lifted Getz petrol, new elantra and CNG santro, new small car codenamed ‘PA’ and more in its pipeline. It has started 2007 with sonata embera diesel and now comes up with new Getz prime.

Just FYI, the Xing was showcased and initially sold as a Kia around the world before it came to India as a Hyundai.

i somehow did not like the rear light assembly of this car. it looks too boring. the roof looks a bit arched, so more headroom probably. i dont expect the legroom to be anything better as such. compared to the existing santro.
