The price definetly can't go beyond 5 lac bracket, becoz the body seems more like santro only( apart from head light and tails). So, eventhough it has to be customized to indian conditions, hyundai can do it with little capital investments as they have already built up production lines for santro. Also, they may 1.) gradually phase out santro (pa being visually similar to santro, guess engine might be an upgrade).
2.) or like what maruthi did to M800, they may keep only 2 variants of Santro running at a considerable price difference from 'pa' variants- like m800 vs alto.

good work mrkanitkar. it seems most probable, but will i10 be catchy enough? pa sounds better. AFAIK people may prefer letters than numbers (some may think 10 in the name is good for them some may steer away...)

The more pictures I see of the camuflouged PA, the more I feel like it's a new Santro. In fact, from A to C pillars and even a bit of the hatch design and the doors, the car looks a lot like the Santro isnt it? Seems like it's just the front (grille, headlamps, bumpers) and rear design thats changed. Of course, interiors will be all new. But overall, to me, it seems like it's going to disappoint.

Look how diagonally the rear door goes! Would it not hinder access? Also the boot space seems really less, atleast at the top!
IMO its a tad too small!

I had gone to the service station today again and the sevice manager told me that the length has increased, height has decreased and the gear shift is cable driven and closer to the console than behind.

He also told me that its named Mi10 engine technically for their service records.

Today is 16th and if they need to launch it for Diwali( deliveries) , then their logistics must be having D day very close. The website and domains are already booked, Santro AT stopped and not available with dealers in MUmbai ( except Modi ,that too I doubt they will easily give out the info as the usual discount they would get for Santro AT from the manufacturer after launch of PA AT- will mean some profits as they definitely will sell it for much higher price than given by Hyundai). So in nutshell, all of us who can read battlefields, know what is excepted. The intelligence reports filed by many TBHPians here , indicates a clear launch date including first hand info that I got from the guy who had gone for training from Sharayu Hyundai. I guess its only now a matter of few days when they make formal announcement and sincerely wish, they do not make it like the Getz CRDi , which is just not available and announcement seems to be more for the press than the customers & of course their website update.
I would love to get an automatic one with Sunroof!! and the booking amount that I have paid for Verna CRDi , I dont mind switching for this one. Anyone at Hyundai- reading this?

Hi all,

This is my first post and I am amazed to see so much info about the car I am waiting to buy, the i10.
I almost bought a spark, but this thread made me feel like wait for the new hyundai.

I wanted to know if anybody has any reliable info as to when exactly it is coming though the news suggests late Oct or early Nov..is anything confirmed?? It is becoming a tough choice for me to wait, since spark has a substantial 50k discount now ....

need your help folks....thanks in adv

If you are looking for Automatic then wait. This car is not coming in B/ B+ segment and spark is in A. Spark is good car as well. New Indica varient is also coming up this Diwali. I think GM will come up with better scheme for Diwali or extend current one. Anyway spark is not selling like hot cake.

Hi all,

I had been to a Santro dealer in Pune today. He said that 'Pa' will be launched on 26th October. It will be priced about 20k more than Santro's top end model 'XO'. To avoid cannibalisation, Hyundai has discontinued 'XO' and introduced GLS and another stripped down version of its most successful small car.

thnks mrkanitkar,

I think to wait is the better option. And in continuation of CAAT's post, 20k more than Santro XO, is that for top end version of the PA?
I think we can come to know abt it only after its launch.
