These are pre VAT prices.

It seems that the price tag being discussed are pre VAT. Add 12% for the ex-showroom price. It gets into Swift and GetZ territory.

Hmm...I calculated these figures on basis of Delhi taxes etc...Dont know if my calculations is right. Yet to confirm on Road price in delhi
For Base model (round of figures)
3.39(ex-showroom) + 40,800 (12%VAT) + 9500 (road tax, reg)+5600 Insurance+5600 (logistics)+10,500 (insurance)+3000(extended warranty)
All comes to on the road price of 4,14000/- (for Base Model)
Add accessories of 20k to it!!!
I hope that my calculation is wrong

ASSUMING THIS IS CORRECT.

Adding 12% and comparing with the Suzuki Swift.

i10 D-lite 379709.

Swift doesnt have variant without PS.

i10 Era- 4,19,441.
Swift LXi- 3,99,990

i10 Magna- 4,46,336.
Swift Vxi- 4,28,869

i10 Magna (O without sunroof)- 531728. (No climate control/alloys/wider rubber as in Swift ZXi)
Swift ZXi- 5,04, 583.

Think its well-priced? Dont forget that they get tax soaps while Swift doesnt!

Should we compare this 1.1 66.7 bhp engine with the sturdy 1.3 87bhp engine of Swift!!!
Can it even match that far performance, leave behind interiors and all.
But if these prices turn out to be true with VAT then would be a bit disappointment.

It may not match the Swift in performance but as regards to interiors, IMHO the i10 interiors are much better. That's just my opinion. I would wait till the final pricing is out including VAT and all, before commenting. No point in assuming things

4.14L - on road for Delhi
Adding another 20-30K will bring it close to OTR prices in Mumbai or Bangalore!!!
And all this for the base??
Great interiors apart, lets not forget that its an upgrade of the atos (santro) in the international market.
Surely the Swift appears so much more VFM in comparison.

Guys don't be blind fan of Swift. Don't compare ex show room price of swift and on road price of i10 if i am not wrong.

I can see something fishy about swift and i10 comparision.

i10 is much better than Swift Petrol even in terms of performance too.

Lets keep Swift away from this thread and discuss only about i10. May be open new thread to compare both and I will fill feedback about both the cars.

Regards,

Ravi.

I saw this vehicle today. Here's my feedback:

The car has good interiors, good engine (I heard that it gives better mileage than Santro), good seats, good tyres....but the boot is very small. I think thats what significantly separates it from the Getz 1.1

Now what do you see the impact on sale of chevy spark? Unless however the full TD report is available , we can not say whether it matches the spark in ride quaity and engine quietness. On the whole i feel spark is more peppy.

interiors seem better than swift or any other car out there - but for its engine if you look at the pricing, hyundai seem to have messed it up

I don't know how many of us would want to pay 20-40k more to get awesome interiors but in an under powered car than the ones available at that price.

just my 2 paisa!!

Hyundai is launching some very competitve n attractive vehicles but they don't seem to get the pricing right.

At least after seeing the initial snaps of the car, it does appear to have a better interior than Swift.. and interior styling and the curve is nicely done! Think, it could possibly make another bread & butter earner for Hyundai! Nice move

Anyways, you are right. Have to wait for the ex-showroom prices to know the real picture.

That is just my opinion based on the snaps that i have seen. And the fact that I don't think much of the Swift's interiors has played a major role in the formulation of that opinion. I hope that is clear enough, crazy.

I had edited the post soon after.

Just was pointing at the fact that we are all assuming things based on what we know till now. You assumed interiors were better based on the pics you saw (which dont reveal quality, fit and finish, ergonomics etc). I posted the prices based on the calculations given here.

Anyways, we'll wait for the final prices and TD before continuing the discussion.

After spending some quality time in the i10 magna red color.. which is supposed to be delivered to me on the 5th (monday) , the facts I have come up after driving 9000 odd kms in my manual Civic is that me , a die hard Japenese car fan has now finally setteled for a Korean car , just because it looks good and fresh, has a good quality interior and also looks at least a lac rupees expensive than what I am really paying.

To sum it up I must saw that if you like the Getz, there is no reason that you can find faults with the car...

Regards,
Saurabh
