Is this confirmed news??

In any case I guess teh i10 looks good over Getz. I find it much more attractively styled and contemporary than the Getz.

You guys are freaking me out...
i10 is just launched we dont know anything about it's long term performance and how will it work out..
it could be another old getz story... or santro story..
in any case i think you should not go for car which is not proved itself ...

Yesterday i went to the dealer and saw this beauty. Saw a yellow TD car outside the showroom. They said that TD will be available from friday :(.

But the real thing is that it is definetly a winner in its segment. The look, interior. Even the gear shifting is so light as compare to santro (engine was not running). If any one got a chance to TD then please comment on the gear shifting.

varun - going by that logic no one will book the i10 cos its new and unproven i completely understand many people want to play safe and go with something tried and tested - in your case if a tried and tested santro engine in a tried and tested getz body makes sense - so go for it, dont confuse yourself further

Looks like Hyunudai themselves are getting mixed-up between the Getz and i10 as on the home page the respective links have been interchanged - Clicking on the Getz link opens the i10 page while clicking on the i10 link opens the Getz page!

Just a simple glitch. I'm sure they will correct it soon.

Looks like some people are a little confused.

i10=B segment. Competes with Estilo/Spark/WagonR and its own sibling Santro.
i20/Getz=B+ segment. Competes with Swift/U-VA/Palio 1.6.

dceite i think getz 1.3 is b+ - the getz1.1 with 1.1L santro engine is a b segment car and competes with i10 and santro this is what varun wants to know - i10 or getz1.1

I was talking about the 1.3 L Getz.
Getz 1.1 is kind of in between B and B+ (though performance wise it maybe worse than its B cousin, because of the extra weight.)

I dont see it overpriced at all. I dont understand why people are comparing its on road prices of its top end varient with ABS and other features with ex-shoroom prices of lower varients of UVA and SWIFT.

I have seen it in flesh but I think its a very good product from Hyundai with very smart and nice interiors.

So, unless and untill, we have the -ve test drive results, I would assume that this car is going to be a big hit in its segement. It definitely seems much much better car then Estilo and wagon R which are also priced similarly if not higher.

Auto version was not avilable with them..
but it will be priced around 4.75 (Pune on rd)
also delaer told me that auto might have lower milage as it heavier than manual(MT-860 AT 952)
so AT is has same wt as Getz 1.1

Santro AT was at 4.75 OTR in Pune. This is same price. For AT milage is not that imp than driving comfort in city. I hope they launch AT with Magna or Magna option pack as well.
