Wash cars under water pressure ?

Hi All,

I saw an ad today in TOI which mentioned
"wash cars under water pressure".

I enquired krishana murthy(9448334376) on how it works and his answers were...

- It gives you water pressure same as you see in service centers
- Its handy
- If you want i can send a person for demo.
- Price - rs7200.

I thought its expensive and asked him if he can give me with slightly less pressure so that the cost will come down but he says he has only one model.

So does anyone know similar products with less cost with service backup aswell ?

I don't think you need it at all. Pressure wash is strictly to be done only once in a while, maybe during regular service or more often during rainy days. For this, the local service station will charge you hardly Rs.150 & he will do all the work.

any reason?

I was thinking of this one because i love the way my car gets cleaned with ease.
another reason is i have two cars and another one yet to buy...

I can extend my budget up to 3-4k for this, else as esteem_lover said
we can give it to local service station who charge around Rs.150-250.

I have the BOSCH aquatak100, which gives out the above mentioned pressure. It cost me approx 6500/- in Metro last year, prices went up slightly after that.

It is indeed very useful for washing cars as not oly does it give out water under high pressure but what I've noticed is that lesser water is used for washing the car as compared to a normal hose pipe.
Like Androdev said, I used it a lot initially but now since the current driver does a good job washing the cars, the aquatak is used rarely.

its no point in pressure washing your cars on a regular basis, unless its the chassis. Lacquer coats tend to get rough with regular pressure washes pretty often.. trust me , I know.

If any of you plan getting a pressure washer then do go for a decent brand like Karcher or Bosch.

There are lots of cheap chinese generic pressure washers which are very poor quality, you can buy them wholesale for as little as Rs800 a piece (if you buy a container ). They do use poor quality parts and begin to leak at joints etc.

They sure do, nothing beats a good old hand wash with the suds washed off using low pressure. I tend to use a bucket of water and jug to wash off the suds.
