How good is the "Reva" Electric car in terms of Safety? It is as costly as Maruti 800. Is it certified in Crash test? I believe it is even exported to UK and other European countries.

I have gut feeling that 1Lac car will be stronger than Reva.

The Reva is actually classified as a quadricycle or something in the UK. Since safety requirements are far lower for this segment, as compared to a passenger car requirement, it was allowed to be sold in the UK.

I wouldnt expect the Reva to be as safe as even an Alto ! Best used in the city which I think will be the case with the Tata 1 lac car too.

Who said Reva is as costly as M800. Its much more than that.
Ex showroon price of Reva starts around 3.3 lac. thats even more than entry level Santros, Indicas, Altos.
