| GM cuts Spark prices for 10 days Cashing in on the festival season, General Motors India (GMI) will offer a staggering discount of Rs 53,000 on all the models of Chevrolet Spark for a period of ten days starting from October 12. The Spark will be available for Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) compared with its usual price of Rs 3.32 lakh. Parent company, General Motor Corporation, is celebrating its centennial period. Customers can take delivery of the car at a later date by making a valid booking during the ten-day period. Ankush Arora, VP - marketing sales, GMI, said, “As part of the celebratory period, we are offering a discount on our popular model Spark for a period of ten days”. He however declined to comment on the number of units the company intends to sell during the period. “We may expect better response during the festive period, especially as a result of the drop in interest rates announced by SBI and ICICI yesterday,” he said. PTI adds: Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) will offer a discount of up to Rs 40,000 across various models till the end of next month aiming to cash in on the festive season. HMIL is offering a discount of Rs 40,000 on its flagship model Santro, and Rs 36,000 on the mid-size sedan Accent, a spokesperson said.
