No, it's not the 1.5, it's the mighty friggin 1.6. Now say that 10 times and you've proved a point. I've had enough of this. This is about as entertaining as a child's inflatable punching toy. You bop it, it springs back, you bop it again and you forget it ever existed.

Every woman will tell you an age. You'll never know if that is her real age.
So how will you decide not to trust her? Best is take 'em as they come!

That was good one and they will also know why the hell do u need A S S.....it is just not required (So reliable).....thats why it is not at par with Maruti or hyundai...coz we dont use it

Have driven Baleno Vxi and Accent GLS. Baleno is easier to manoeuvre.

But on paper Baleno is SOHC and Accent GTX DOHC..so looks strong.

A poll would have been interesting. No guesses for the winner though!

And what happens when a Blueline bus in Delhi T-bones you at an intersection? Never mind that he was jumping the signal.

Guys here is a comparison of competition, Looks like some of the things quoted by our friend seem reasonable, I do not know the authenticity of these figures and who did the road tests. The Tornado does seem like a ripper if these numbers are believable.

Fiat Petra 1.6 EL PS vs Ford Ikon 1.6 SXi vs Hyundai Accent GTX - Tornado vs Maruti Baleno VXi - BS III | Car Comparisons - CarWale.com India

Reasons to suspect how authentic this data is: ACI reports 11.57 secs 0-100 for Petra (looks believable given that old Siena with 300+ Kilos weight and a generation earlier engine clocks 13.35 per indiacar)

:: AUTOCAR INDIA - CAR AND BIKE MAGAZINE ::

17 CARS - ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE TEST

I am not trying to prove any thing with these links, but there is a possibility that our fellow THPian Hyundai.lover is right.

Are you suggesting that Hyundai is, after all, very good at hardsell??
Then they must do something about their pricing norms too!

How many people going Hyundai bashing here have actually driven the Accent 1.6? Some of you have, but others are going bashing the 1.6 just because it's a Hyundai. It's just an impression I got from reading the thread. From what all evidence I can get from the net, I don't find Accent tornado to be incomparable with the Baleno as some members here seem to make it out to be. I've never driven the Accent 1.6, so I can't really compare. But I've heard some owners say that it's damn quick.

P.S :- I'm no Hyundai lover and I've never owned a Hyundai.

I know the adventure has a BIG one!!...and a cool engine too that performs just as well

eh!!! excuse me. are we just out of topic. Were we not discussing the Accent and the Baleno. Guess we need to change the title to "The earstwhile 1.6-es"

Maybe then i could chip in something more about my Adventure!!

You guys are hardcore car guys, one letter between great and A.S.S is what makes all the difference. BTW it could be an 'L'.

I will add NHC to the list. There are many passionate NHC owners on this forum who know the exact capabilities of their ride
