Whitefield Honda were not in denial unlike Hyundai about the new Accord. They said 2008. Considering the CRV came in around this time last year to Pune, expect a launch early December or March assuming they want to do some local sourcing

Honda is not under pressure to keep prices down. And Honda is building the reputation of updating models soon after their international debuts.

this new one is definately a scorcher, but somehow i feel that the new design is a mix of BMW 5 series (with the tail lights sweeping in the same fashion on the sides) and the front like the Hyundai Sonata/Azura (the bulky front light formation) ... disappointed to see Honda in pressure on design style, but then the world is bit too competitive, isnt it ?

When I saw the pictures of the new Accord, the 1st thing that came to my mind was Hyundai+Chevy..
For those who are familiar with the Malibu & the Impala...it'll be easy to spot some of its lines in the new Accord. Somewhere,I see the similarity.
The previous design was good, and they ought to have made very small changes to it.

Its probably not going to turn a lot of heads, given that the styling seems to be rather ordinary. By ordinary,I mean it doesn't stand out as an entirely new design.

Got these pics from a google search.

That makes two of us! Seriously - Honda needs to price this baby well - none of this CRV type pricing nonsense. These words will probably come back to haunt me but if Honda retains current Accord pricing, I am going to be the first one to pick this up on T-Bhp (That is unless, Ishan plans to beat me to it).

the full specs and photographs are already up on the US Honda site. 2 engines but 3 engine options (v4 with 160 & 195 bhp and v6 with 260 bhp approx).

I am guessing pricing shud go up to around camry levels.
