the sx4 sports is only for the us market. its not launched in india. if it had been launched here there would have been ads in the newspaper and some articles too.

Maruti was going to launch some parts as after market company fitments on zen estilo and also for SX4 , may be thats what your friend is referring ... they are just add ons for the looks and nothing to do with increasing performance...

@alaap: Never heard of these things in Maruti's website also. As akshay had pointed out, if there was any plan, the co. would have come out of the ads in n/paper.

Regaarding the Honda City and SX4, I would definately vouch for SX4. It is a better vehicle any day.

the most close maruti can get to the USDM sx4 is by launching a sport appearence pakage with the 17inch wheels etc.
2.0L engine would put it almost around 10 lakh category.

Actually, it should be closer to 8 kmpl!. According to revised EPA ratings, SX4 2 litre manual gives FE of 22/30 mpg. ConsumerReports places its FE at 22 mpg. I have seen that US city figures closely correspond India's overall figures, so 21-22 mpg overall should be a fair estimate.

Diabloo, there is nothing new about that car. By "all new" its meant the existing SX4 only, since its Maruti's latest C segment car.

When I read this ad in TOI bangalore i thought may be limited edition of SX4, but I feel they mean to say SX4 is new car from Maruti so all new SX4. But Ad is bit misleading.

They have also mentioned bookings open, may be they mean to say if we book now and we will get it by diwali. may be they stocked many sx4 so they want to impress and create good feeling in public that no need to wait for months together for SX4.

Few weeks back I saw ad from BIMAL saying book SX4 today and get it within a week.

this also mean Maruti's new plant is producing more cars now i guess.

Regards,

Ravi.
