Are Maruti cars E5 & E10 compatible?

Hi All,

I'm planning to buy a small car and have more or less zeroed in on a Maruti model - either a Wagon R, Zen or Swift(P)- i know i know............. all petrls and go against my id .
I read smwhere that from Oct'08 all cars will have to be E10 compatible and that only E10 petrol would be available in metros. Is that true? If yes, are Maruti cars E10 or E5 compatible? I asked the dealer sales people but guess what some werenot even aware of E5/E10 fuels and the others were more into competition bashing. Would be glad is sm1 helps me out.

Cheers

The Maruti cars that will be launched after Oct 08 may be made E10 compatible.

The current MPFI cars from their stable is E5 compatible, but not E10 compatible.

The SX4 manual says that we can use fuel with 5% alcohol(ethanol, IIRC), so its only E5 compatible
