One thing that caught my attention on the Mahindra Australia website (Mahindra Australia) under the Pik Up site, in the tech specs section:

Engine Turbo diesel (CRDe)
Type “NEF 2.49L CRDe EURO-IV” - 4 stroke, 4 cylinder, 2498CC
Power (kW @ rpm) 79 @ 3800
Torque (Nm @ rpm) 247 @ 1800 ~ 2200

Now, where did a 2.5L CRDe engine come from??? I thought there was only a 2.6L and the next upcoming one is the 2.2L! And funnily enough it says Euro IV. I thought only the 2.2L was supposed to be Euro IV compliant which was why it was being developed in the first place as opposed to the 2.6L which is Euro III.

So whats with this 2.5L plonked in the PikUp sold in Oz?

It is......please also see below post which I hope will explain what I meant

And, as I mentioned separately, cruise control at 10.3 - hmmmm, why am I skeptical (not about the presence of cruise control but about the price), let's wait & see
OT: In fact, Moralfibre & me had an earlier exchange about this where I clarified - those were deleted by a Mod giving a reason "on request" - god knows whose request lol, not mine!

The Mahindra scorpio family is sold in Europe under the name Mahindra Goa, since they could not use the name 'scorpio' and is as in Australia also equipped with this 2.5 liters engine.
Here is a link to the engine specs in french (sorry):
Motorisation - Mahindra France - Gamme de 4x4 Diesel
and this one in english (click on technical informations):
Mahindra Europe S.r.l.
It seems that you need the IE browser... to visit this site..
I do not know if it is the case in India but the rear suspension are now equiped with coil springs instead of the leafs (I hope my english is clear enough..)

Here's another possible reason/use for the recliner (quoting from another thread) -

Maybe they need to slide the middle row back & then recline it ....that would surely direct the air away

Which SUV allows tall guys to sit in the jump seats? Or was this a reference to the middle row seats?

@benbsb29
I agree. Some of the points put forth are quite silly. What further more humorous to see, is when a "FANBOY" completely trashes one vehicle over the other. Realistically there are only some differences between vehicles in the same class. But then 'FANBOYS" have been known to go completely over-board when it comes to trashing one vehicle and glorifying another. Case point, calling the Safari middle seat as a bench...c'mon!! Horrible acceleration of the Scorpio.... are you serious??

Please Note:- this is no direct reference to any member. But in general, it has been noticed over reading a number of posts.

I just wanted to give a date and time, as everybody wants to know the date. Haha!
I check with local showroom in Coimbatore, they said it should come by Early Jan.

i thought if a automobile seat does not recline it is called a bench seat(nothing to do with the comfort factor)

Doubt if they'll do a quiet launch. However this does seem that its awfully close to the launch.

BTW did you get a chance to take photos or for that matter peep into the parked vehicle?
