the name of the car says for itself. at the speed of 100 on highways its not a bad car its nice and agile to drive around. no car is perfect and never can be. most of errors are human, all handling is done by us. u cant blame cars. people are givin lambos and ferraris and they still end up crashing them. city is meant for city hence the name. on and off highway runs are not bad either

hey guys the perception of people towards autos are changing.one of my friends relative put an advt in the paper that he wanted an used automatic car.contrary to what he expected there was 40 enquiry made to him on-did you get any calls from any seller ,because even i wanted one.so i think its not the fuel efficiency part alone its the price of the car too that is disuading prospective autoo customers from buying one.

Agreed. But the real advantage of slushboxes is in the city (only) anyways.

Hi Raibat, I bought a Santro AT for my wife in Feb. this year. It gives me 11.5km/l with A/C in city traffic. It would be more, I feel, if it wasn't for the thicker tyres I have on it - one size up from stock. The only thing we do to boost mileage is to shift to neutral on long red lights or stops. Try that and maybe your mileage will go up. In the santro AT you don't need to press the shift button to change between neutral and drive - just need to move the lever between those two positions. Also make sure that overdrive is turned on i.e. "OD Off" should not be lighted in the intrument cluster. Hope this helps.

Hi Starscream - I followed your suggestions, but don't think will be getting more than 8-9 kmpl in Mumbai city traffic. Can you advise on what fuel make/type you use and any specific additives or maintenance schedules.

Thanks
