great find there, the car looks good and it is the Fiesta hatchback. i have to agree with Esteem lover here, the car does look better than the swift. i wonder when Ford plans to launch it here and at what price. they need to replace the Fusion for sure.

This should be what we are looking at, although a 4 door version.

Hey Sherlock Holmes & Watson, well done boys , this is a real scoop! Question is, what are they going to call it? Since there is no consistency in names from region to region, they might even end up launching this as the Focus?

Man, I sincerely hope you were kidding, else that was a real sick insinuation

suman , we could make out the Fiesta badge very clearly on one of those cars. Probably just an export model ?

Nice..
It would all depend upon the pricing now.
The looks are great wonder what they'll provide under the hood.

How about the 1.6 from the ikon?? hehehe.

Ok so now theres one more choice for the B+ segment.

Its indeed a Ford Fiesta sold in Europe. Just hope that it comes with the 1.6L engine and if that happens, its going to take the throne of Indian Hot Hatch replacing the long ruler Palio 1.6.

to dampen your spirits, this is NOT the fiesta hatch back coming to india. instead, it is a test mule for the upcoming new ford small car to be produced globally by ford in many countries, INCLUDING OURS.

this car will be named fiesta or not, it remains to be seen.
it carries ford's new "kinetic design" philosophy.

the car is expected to be launched in 2009.

here are the actual spy shots:

Good find,Ben. The cars looks impressive.
By the way, is the Ford Fusion based on the same platform as the Fiesta?

This looks a lot like the Ford Verve concept which is the basis of the next generation Ford Fiesta

Lets hope they dont go ahead with the current generation Fiesta and get the newer one instead.

Khanak this (Verve) looks like a dream, really sweet and nice. like you pointed out that the car spotted (fiesta) and the spy pictures does resemble the Verve concept. it seems hard to believe ford would have the four door version ready so soon and be doing extensive testing for the same across the globe. i hope this is true cause i would love to see the Verve on indian roads instead of the Fiesta. i hope they do bring in the two door version too. they would sell like hot cakes.

Good looking car, it looks fab from the rear, but the front is not my taste (but then when the fiest was launched, i did not lkike it all, but later it grew on me)

in the second pic, the right rear wheel looks like its been cut at different angles, is that because of the cam phone?

ps: just read the whole thread, initally i too thot it was a photoshop job, but then it has been said other wise.
