Is it true that the SS80 had an imported Italian engine under the hood?

Glad I got that cleared out. The reason I asked is because, I recall a long time ago when I saw that car, my neighborhood friend (we were damn young then!!) told me that it has an Italian engine and that its a rocket! Anyways, now that I am older and wiser, I just wanted to confirm that it was not the case!

The SS80 sure didn't have a Italian Heart.

But the time has proved that your friend would be right...somewhat.

But guess what 24 years later Suzuki gifts the Swift with the 'Italian' heart and boy it is quick.

The 1.3 Liter Multiget Diesel from Fiat . And the story is GM has technical tie up with Fiat and thus have got access to Fiat's engine. Further GM holds 20% in Suzuki and thus have utilized that engine in Suzuki (Indian Operations).

so that monsoon is here and thus the issue with my car. The wiper of my car seems to have fallen in slow motion. When ever i turn on the wiper, it operates though it is doing it unwantedly and at a pretty slow pace. What could be the problem, is it with the wiper motor? I tried figure out if there are any obstacle for the motor but it 'sounds' fine. has any one experienced the such kind of thing? please help for any suspect/ malfunctions before i venture upon for its repairs. thank you in advance.

Just get the linkage lubricated. Think that should do the job.

Sorry for the delay in continuing-

'finally got the glass fixed last week, with new hinges and a new stay/shock as well, which is working! All is well now.
