The original Powder Blue shade is much lighter than this. Fortunately it is now available on Tata Nano.

Also why have there been Zen rims fitted to this car? For better height/ground clearance? One guy who did up a red SS80 here also did the same and gave this as the reason. But these rims are more prone to bending in on bumps etc, than the original SS80 rims.

Kiran, Sad to see you have to part with your car, that too a fine example!

Hope she goes into the right hands!

WOW! SS80 automatics were never available in India. That should either be an import or a well executed transplant.
But that car is certainly a good SS80 DX.

that it looks like a very good SS80 DX.

From the last picture posted by drmessiah we can see the auto box along with another lever protruding below the steering wheel. My guess is this car is being used by a physically handicapped person. The SB308 was made to order by maruti in auto transmission, as ajay99 pointed out, especially for the differently abled people.
Till this date i had never known of an SS80 made this way.

I really think that lever is a steering lock, nothing else. But yeah the target customer for the automatic was the disabled and thats how it was marketed

That circled part looks like a steering lock.

One day I too stumbled upon an automatic SB308. It was kind of surprising to me. Here is the link with pictures of the car:

Thanks,
Jose.

Would love to see more details of this car.
dr messiah

May be as with SB308's made to order variants would also have been there for SS80's. Nevertheless this should be one of its kind!
Nice scoop doc!
