I saw one of these a few days back. Had a really loud exhaust. . .

Not good, but well I haven't really seen many people sport-ify this car.

I tried to stay away from the car so that I don't intrude their privacy too much.

I've removed the number plate, it was anyways at the wrong place.

ME too...when my pocket permits!

Mainly because, I was told that SS80 rims are relatively tough but I have my own doubts, having gone through some of the worst roads in Hyd.!

There is incidentally a similar SS80 in our society itself, which I'd earlier wanted to buy, even at a comparitively higher price, but backed off because he doesn't have the RC! It has some nice looking alloys (with the name "TI" or such- anyone know them?) which I think are 12"ers besides beige leather seats, which I would've really loved! It also has A/C (but I doubt if it's a DX.)
BTW ram, to ask you again, are you keeping/storing your car's original tinted glasses as well, now having fitted plain ones?

Sorry ram but I didn't get that! How were you able to "remove" the tint?? I thought the glasses themselves were made in that tinted shade, and not filmed?

Excuse my "prodding" but are you sure, ram? Because I couldn't find any kind of tint in them in your pics. (maybe its the photos).....I guess its supposed to be a kinda greenish tint. And I doubt if that would ever fade with time.

So anyways, I now understand you meant that the OE tinted glasses had FILM stuck inside them, which alone you have removed?

Shyam..you can come and do and detailed prod..i dont mind at all !!!
There is a light "something" tinge on my OE glasses..god knows its green,grey,blue..I could be colour blind..lol.Anyway I dont care much for the tint.

OT: I need some advice from the SS 80 Owners:
My car has done nearly 250kms since i acquired and the servicing has been done.I have these queries:
1. While running on A/C the impact on the engine seems to be very high and the car slows/ stalls on low speeds.I need to shift gear everytime I slow down.Is this usual?
2. Does the AC cooling depend on high revs and RPM? Because at low speeds the chill factor is relativly low.
3. I replaced a condensor and flute pins as per my mechanic. What does this achieve in terms of FE,Running condition.
4. Engine is heating up even after a 5km run.Mind you the coolant level is fine.
Await your feedback folks.

The OE glass is tinted a light green and should be visible on the pictures. It not a film but the actual glass is tinted.

Now regards to your A/c firstly the car is not properly tuned as you mentioned it stalls on slow speeds with teh a/c on. Could it be you are not declutching on time ?

keep in mind its only a 800 cc engine and the A/c puts excessive load on it so you do loose quiet a bit of power.

Now if the A/c was working good it would keep the car pretty cool. Do check if you are using it on recirculate of fresh, recirculate is better as the blower works better and its easier on the compressor.

If the comperessor is OK and the gas is topped up look for a clogged / leaking condensor and air bubbles in the dryer.

most likely you need a new compressor. Try to get a rotary type instead and it will improve the performance.
