yes, kiran. i happen to visit them about 15 days back looking for some parts for my car. They have have stocked some good MGP parts like major mechanical parts. i happen to buy Master Cylinder, some rear break cylinders, all were TVS make. other parts llike wiper blade was Syndicate make, try once there they have stocked all kinds. and on their response, you find there two very busy brother lookng after the shop, have patience to talk to them before buying. They told me that they have some SGP parts like the Mikuni carb, some tail lamps etc,. happy sourcing.

That is not a battery issue. Yes it came up 2-3 times.
This is due to the starter, which will be serviced from Lucas with the alternator next week.

Hey Foby,

Nice SS80 you have got there. She's a 84 Model. amongst the first that was delivered in Kerala. Ajay99 has told me that the first lot came to Kerala in Sept 84.

BTW, I have a doubt: there is this red SS80 currently being done up at a local garage I frequent. It has this digital clock on the dash- is it an original one, which came on the DX? Unfortunately this car (a much abused one) has none of the other original features of the DX, even some of the glasses are local brand and all filmed! So, difficult to identify.

I dont think that is the OE clock,it is an aftermarket accessory

I was told the OE clock was a Seiko make.Is this correct?

OE clock was indeed supplied by SEIKO JAPAN.
also there is an red SS80 DX for sale in Trivandrum.interested persons can pm me for the owners contact no.

Sure it was... Sir Roger Moore promoted Seiko watches in late 70s/Early 80s James Bond Films.
Toyota Corona was another product Sir Roger Moore promoted in that era.
