No boss both are different I mean the ss80 and the post 1986. I am trying to get the RHS too. The lower arms are similar for both the versions.

Here's the same car today, at the same garage. Finally getting some attention as the front wings and bumpers are being tinkered. But whether it will be a quality job or otherwise I'm not sure.

PS: Sorry about the pic. quality, clicked from my mobile.

And on a lighter note, this SS80 again with a Delhi regn. was subject of some naughty humour on a F'book page because of the 'DIC' regn.!

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

Saw a SS80 at a tire and wheel alignment shop at dusk with big RED BULL written both sides. Good spoke type alloys.
Meanwhile I could get drive shaft at Rs 2150.

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

Post lunch, this afternoon,i happened to see an advertisement for SS80 in the classifieds in todays Newspaper and rushed to take a look at it,with my mechanic. After 2 hours of inspection,deliberation,negotiation..this 1985 SS80 joins my fleet. The car is in a good shape mechanically, though needs little attention.Bodywise,it looks good with no rust pockets anywhere whatso ever.
This is a DX model with 90% of original fitments:
- Stanley Sealed Headlight on one side
- Tokai Denso indicators one side
- Denso Alternator,AC Compressor
- Mikuni Carburattor
- Ashimora Seat Belts
- Clarion Radio/Cassette Player (not in working condition)
- Seiko Clock.
- Suzuki Temperlite Glasses on windows,Windsheild and the Bootlid
- Original Rear View Mirror
I wear a broad smile now.
The car has gone directly to my mechanic to attend to all the mechanical glitches to make it road perfect.
On the negative side, the car has been repainted in white very badly and needs an attention to suit my taste.Since the original colour(Dark Brown) has already been tampered,I intend to get a new paint job done.
Suggestions are welcome for the choice of the colour,my personal vote is for Yellow.

Enjoy the pics.

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

Over all car looks neat, congratulations Ram. I see white is good really good, how about alloys? I know it might sound little out for a neo classic car but gives a nice appeal to the car, is it a deception or a reality I find some dents on the top do you also see them Ram? good news is that a car in Hyderabad and that too this long has few original branded products still left on the car, seems to me that it must have served a faithful owner for a long time. I bet the car has come back to a nice hands and again I hope you will not miss this fella as you have missed out the one in Red you had.

Nice find Ram bhai. The car definitely looks complete but needs attention to come up to your standards eg. that horrible paint overcoat is marring the looks.
Do share the latest happenings on it, with us.
BTW i vote for some period shade of Red.

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

+1 to that. The cheap paint job is clearly evident from the pics with overspray on locks, glasses and all fittings.
Yellow would be nice if its some lighter shade. Anyways its your choice. No doubt SS80 will look distinctive and eye catching in that color.

Re: Maruti Suzuki SS80 DX

I feel the SS80 must be brought to its original condition as much as possible. A shade of pastel blue or any one from the original shades would look awsome.
