I saw this on a news channel, great feat, hope they are able to cope up to the quality of service as the numbers increase and shift their focus to A.S.S. than sales figures.

Very nice to hear!! 1 Million cars made and I own three of them.
TATA Motors is getting better by the day. They just need to improve their QC and make the cars a bit more refined.

With the 1 lakh ruppee car comming I wonder how much time it would take them to get to the 2 million mark.

Congratulations to them, as an Indian company, to have achieved this feat. Now, its in their interest to improve and enrich the A.S.S. experience, perhaps taking hints from some non-Indian/semi-Indian companies around them.

Cheers and a huge toast to a truly Indian manufacturer who has beaten the best from Japan, Korea and Europe!! To build your first hatchback, have limited global volumes (relatively) and still emerge as the 2nd / 3rd best selling car in the country is a landmark achievement.

Congratulations Mr. Tata and team. We eagerly await the next gen Indica / go platform range.

I've heard Mr Ratan Tata's personal intervention helps achieve this. If you find his contact details, I'll trust you to keep me in the loop as well.

The Indica looks misshapen, odd-looking and old.It is long past its' sell by date.TATA continues the shameful tradition of Indian auto manufacturers, namely, continuing to churn out obsolete models with cosmetic changes.Well, this is India....

Chak de Indiaaaaa

Competition getting hot now, Tatas has to get its act together in matter of QC, *** & mainly the desi image.

Tatas need to change that pre conceived notion that an Indian company can make only inferior/cheap/ outdated technology cars.
