MSIL has not yet tapped the C+ segment ( Corolla , Optra , Civic, Elantra).
So am sure they would try their best to bring this car to India. The amount of faith Suzuki has in Indian market I have a gut feeling it will mostly come to India. But anyways all we have to do is wait and watch!!

new sedan from Maruti

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is gearing up to launch a new sedan in India. The new model Kizashi is expected by early 2010 and is still in the concept stage for India. The car was first unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 and later at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi in 2008. The car is expected to be priced at Rs. 10 lakh or above which means it will come with all the desired luxuries of a mid-level sedan.
Kizashi sports a superb aero-dynamic design with front view featuring a completely stylish look. The tapering headlights and classic front design lend a view to the model that is unseen so far in Maruti small car models in India. This new upcoming model can rightfully be attributed as a cross-over sports sedan.

Maruti has recently launched another small car model, Ritz, in India but the model is yet to make its impact in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki India Limited is India’s largest car manufacturer and sells nearly every second car in India. The company intends to expand its product portfolio especially in the sedan segment as its major sales comes from its small cars in the country. Out of its overall car product portfolio, Swift and Dzire are the two models that attribute for a major chunk of its sales figure. Dzire is the entry level sedan from Maruti.
"My concern is about the quality of our growth. Although we achieved good overall national numbers, the region-wise and model-wise performance was not uniform. We relied mostly on Dzire and Swift to power our growth," said MSI Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Managing Director and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi.

Wonder if this car will belaunched in INDIA. Read this article on cartradeindia. Even if they launch I think the design will be changed for sure

I'm not sure of the "might" of Honda/Toyota but the Kizashi is doomed in this market if Suzuki chooses to market it here. The obvious reason will be the asking price. The next obvious reason is that the show car is etched in the minds of all and the production version is a big let down in comparison. The Kizashi is yet another unremarkable wannabe Camry competitor from Suzuki which apparently hasn't learned it's lesson from the Verona disaster and doesn't know squat about the large car market and doesn't want to know either.

Kizashi launched in India at 10-13lkhs

Hi All,

Kizashi launched. Here is the news.

Maruti Suzuki India is now ready to roll out the sports luxury car Kizashi in India in 2010. This car proves to be a tough competitor of Honda and Toyota Luxury models. Maruti Suzuki Kizashi is perfectly designed for rugged Indian road conditions. The car will be a strong contender against the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Sonata, Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Jetta.
Actually the company Maruti is trying to expand its portfolio from a mini car leader to one that offers a full-range of cars including luxury cars. The sports luxury car Kizashi, which was first unveiled in 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show is most likely to be the first-all-wheel-drive luxury car in the country India in the Rs 10-13 lakh price bracket. Kizashi, is considered as Suzuki’s first big car developed in-house.
Suzuki Motor Corporation, the parent company of Maruti India has already introduced this mid-sized sedan in the US. Maruti Suzuki Kizashi will run with a 2.4-litre Euro IV engine developed by the company.
The car has a standard six-speed manual transmission and an optional automatic one-based on continuously variable transmission (CVT) technology with paddle shift. Hopefully the car will be released from Maruti’s Maneser facility.

I don't get this. A 2.4L engine at 13L? What game are they playing?

If they are manufacturing the Kizashi with localized componants then that price might be true...
But what a game changer in the D segment !
An Accord sized sedan for the price of a civic!
Bring it on

May I mention, this ub news is an internet traffic attracting site. Done by one of the innumerable "Work from home and earn money through google" sites.I would'nt take anything there seriously. If you examine the site you'll be convinced this is meant to just gather hits. I would not give any credibility to this and personally would take this news with a cup of salt.

Hey isn't Maruti = cheap (price-wise) cars . Common 2.4L from Maruti @ 10-13L is keeping in line with its punch line. Will trigger of an intensive price was I guess because at least fromt he looks of it the car looks competitive. Wonder how it drives. I am reading the NYT link right now
