So looks like we will have a complete Car with a Multijet heart and also all the features that VDi does not have e.g. rear wash and wiper defogger

I guess I am going to look for BSM Jan 08 copy now. Atleast Palio users now have a good diesel option from Fiat and can extend the brand loyalty.

Very true.... More than any other launch from FIAT, Plaio 1.3 MJD is going to be the most important till Linea and GP comes out...

Any idea when the Bravo may be coming ?? The 1.9L 150 Bhp seems to stir a lot in my mind :-)

All in all the FIAT lineup surely is going to ruffle quite a few feathers. Pricing will be of great importance, but going by the way FIAT is pricing their offering right now - it seems they may re-write the FIAT success story of yesteryears.

Deliveries for Bravo and 500 would start in 3 months... This is what they are telling on their website... You have to register your interest on their website.. Check fiat-india

I got it. But not much details about the car. The car that was tested by BSM was a prototype. So the guy did not give any of his feedback that matters to us.

It will share same engine as SWIFT.
Kerb weight is more than the SWIFT.
First impression is good, but not as peppy as Swift.
New 5-gear box.
Same interiors and exteriors as current Palio Stile.


Palio 1.3 JTD - the immediate; before March 08
Linea - before June 08
Punto - September 08

Sometimes waiting is so sweet.

It may not be different with the lookwise but will be different with the features/specs.

I hope that fiat will start taking bookings for the Palio 1.3 MJD even if delivery is scheduled for march 08. That way they can even gauge the market response. It does not take a genius to realize that they can grab the swift market.

Still no updates on the website about the Palio 1.3 MJD. I would think that they would have announced that in big bold letters. Instead they chose to advertise the small volume sales 500 and Bravo.

That review seems a little disappointing, did they at least drive it? If they did then I can't understand why the articles does not have more information. It looks like we will have to wait for a better review then.
