Thanks Jyobeb, for the info and brochure pics.

From the pics, the wheels look like the alloys on Palio 1.6. Probably, they have used it for the photo shoot.

BU BHandari, TM-Fiat dealer in pune, mentioned that 1.3 will not have factory fitted alloys, ABS and Airbags. Makes sense, with the impending launch of New Indica and GP.

They are also mentioning 'Super Silent' engine. Is Palio better insulated as far as noise is concerned than the Swift? Can Palio users (esp diesel users) shed some light on it?

I am eagerly looking forward to your review, Kiran.

Yes, the front grill is different, but somehow I liked the old one.

The model shown in Brochure has Alloy wheels & Fog lamps, I guess the top-end model should sport these....!

Edit: Just saw the feature list in Brochure, no Alloy wheels, but Fog lamps available in SDE & SDX models.

BTW, it is better late than never. So FIAT should able to sell minimum of 500 units in a month.

Me too. The front grille is much better in Palio Stile and not in the diesel. It looks like a mesh that we see in some old governement buildings or in some hospitals.. More similar to the Linea grill style..

can somebody PM me the soft copy of print advertisement of Palios, adventure in India? I wanted to make them as wallpaper in my computer, searching net and not finding a high resolution images (min of 1280x1024)..

The front grill treatment has got a similarity with LINEA.
Regarding the engine niose.
For Diesel engines, the NVH depends a lot on the engine mountings. Once it is perfect; half way done. A proper accoustic padding beneath the bonnet and further reduce the noise to a great extend.

BTW...somebody please clarify.
Still this thing runs on 98mm PCD alloy ??????

Good. Hope the new budget has helped them price it much lower than Swift VDi/LDi.

From the pictures, Yes they are 98 PCD alloys. They are very similar/same as 1.2, 1.6 and 1.1 Stile

Its not on the brochure. And even the Stile petrol dont have it and hence this wont too. Will keep prices low.

Fiat India has now updated its site with the "Under its hood you won't find an engine. You'll find an invention" tag line.

The finer details though, are not up, yet.
