i dont find any excitement in the ford lineup in india.but there are some cars outside india which may catch attention a lot.i love focus.so when they are themselves placing them in the budget side of the market initially with the flair there concentration got deviated into the bulk market.but they couldnt carry that forward with the fiesta-poor marketing efforts and strategy.fusion diesel was launched without much fanfare.i doubt whether all indians atleast are aware that fussion is available in diesel options.thats how their marketting goes.so i dont find any reasons why they should not perform poorly here.

Agreed the Fusion wasnt promoted as well as it should have, and also crazy pricing, both for the petrol as well as the diesel, however saying that the Fiesta wasnt properly marketed is going too far. The Fiesta was and still continues to be heavily promoted and at one stage even overtook the NHC in sales. What happened now, i cant say. But with this being the year end season, i would assume that sales do trickle in rather slowly what with the junta giving a lot of importance to having a car from the new year.

The recently refreshed Focus sedan might be launched in India.

Ford need to get into the high volume small car segment at some point if they are serious about growth in India.

well ford seems to be loosing it slowly. They have wrong launches and once a while comes out with a winner. Ikon and Fiesta are the few winners which i see while Fusion. Escort, Endeavour are some of the loosers. Well no offence to the owners but what i feel is whatever these cars had in them they didnt turn it on in the sales sheets. Well overall they got to understand what the market wants before they launch something.
Best example is toyota. They launched 3 cars only after their entry nto India and all the 3 were winners in their own way. Learn from them. Its not about whether you launch a new product each year but about what you launch.

I doubt if Endeavour can be called a looser. It has a select audience and its doing fairly well.

Well i termed it like that because the select audience itself wont help you. It should appeal to everyone. Well while in college i was in this car crazy class. There were few who ate drank and slept cars. When quizzed about endeavour they only had the opinion that it was underpowered! Though it is the best in that class.

Somehow this one looks great but ford should sincerely do something to turn the stones
