wooooow 14.. n in mumbai 17-18... mine gives me 11.. n 14 on highways expressway.. gettin more 5.1 kpl pre litre.. well thats gud so wat should i opt for normal speed or 93 or should i start wid 97??

Hey fasbond,
Stick to 93.Octane 97 is for cars with higher compression ratios.Probably after u get a turbo fixed u can tank up on 97.
But for now try out 93.Its frickin good.

actually fasbond that was in baroda...
in bombay he got 11.5 - 12 ...
but that was with him driving .. the driver drives his sisters viva and which gives 8 kmpl

speed 97 launched saw it in the times today it will be available at 2 pumps rite now the bandra one and the one at gate way of india!heres a pic frm the news paper

97 octane at bandra and gateway thats nice , last year had some major automotive companies come in and 2005 starts off with the availabilty of high octane fuel , now auto-manuf have only one excuse not to come to india and thts becoz of the roads here but im sure that will change too

Gateway Auto, at gateway of india...is also going to be distributing speed 97. Read in the paper today.

hey guys i have a question ? one of my friend had advised me that if i am using 87oct then i must not use speed 91 or 93 . he told me that u must not keep switching over frm one to another always stick to one and i am using 87oct since then

Hey bhp,
That is not as much a problem.Just head to ur local mechanic with just very little fuel in the car,and ask him to drain and clean the fuel tank.Then start with Speed 91 or 93.And stay constant on one.

ey i never drained and cleaned my tank ...
i just started filling 91/93 octane on my cars

and i keep switching.... from 91 to 93 ... or 87..... no problems in last 15k kms.. at least.

I would suggest consistency in Octane levels while filling up. In my Vtec and Merc, its the Speed93 - religiously.

FYI guys speed 97 retails at around Rs.55 a litre...they as in BPCL plan to sell around 35-50 Kltrs this yr....they r looking for a major sale on the two days of the speed run!!

55 bucks a litre .
thats steep
only worth buying if your car really needs it .
any effects in power or FE if i change to 97 oct in cars like palio and carb zen

i read thru all of the above but got no answer on where speed 97 is available or if it is recomended for our cars (esp city, RS etc..).
