Ratan Tata himself drove in a white basic variant of the Tata Nano.
It was the top model with Black roof, alloys, body coloured bumpers.

Hatts of to Tata for a fantastic effort

I think the engine is from the Xeta? 1.2L but using two cylinders?

What will be the upsize for this iraghava

Also what is the diesel specs?

I felt an immense sense of pride when I saw it being launched on TV. Almost emotional feeling. Hats off to Tata. You of everyone else deserve the Bharat Ratna NOW! Kudos. Its a big slap on the face of Suzuki who claimed "This is not possible".

This is what called determination... hitting the bulls eye..
He never worried about the critics, talks all came from outside world. Only one goal... one lac.. and one car... They done it.
And the actual design is really so cute. No previous images that claimed to be 1 lac car can stand near by.
We should appreciate Tata & team not just for the car. But also the way they were keeping the secret a real secret!!!!!

Because it is designed with a weight in mind, I feel weight of t 'nano' will be less than Maruti-800 -- so Power/Weight ratio may be higher for 'nano'

We are witnessing a great turning point in India's history, something like the 1992 budget speech of Dr. Manmohan Singh, aren't we? cheers:

Yes, and everyone else who derided TATA when Ratan TATA announced this project. This is one of those moments when we can truly say we've beaten the best in the world.

With blushing eyelids, Nano carries forward the Tata smile , only this time its not a open mouth one. Fantastic, this beats the effect Indica created on unveiling a decade back.
Lovely Lovely Cute.
Hats off to the engineering team that made this. Thanks Ratan Tata for envisioning this.
