LOL Thad, KP & NC cheers:

69 bhp to 83bhp
Torque from 155NM to 190NM

A stock swift will be almost as quick, and a peted one will blow it, will speak to Peter and ask about the remaps avaiable, if so i am sure the Fabia will be dead quick.

Looking at the cars specs and features, its starting to make sense to me now. Only if the engine was a little bit better, otherwise the car seems to be very good.

My feelings about the car :-

Pros:-
Features
Ride
Gearbox
Build Quality
FE
Resale

Cons:-

Looks kinda funny to me, something got by the mating of a Swift and Mini
Price
A.S.S
Spares Cost(which i hope they rectify for the Fabia)

Looks are subjective, if people dont mind paying for the little bit premium spares and service then there seems to be no negative getting the car down.

I wish this car is a superhit, then only we will be able to see more premium hatch backs. A cheer to Skoda for going in the right direction.

I am pretty much sure Maruti will launch a ZDi soon.

P.S Whats the tire size 15?

Resale? I don't see Aam Janata going to buy a 2nd hand Skoda hatchback for anything above half it's real price. Maybe they would if demand is very much high for a new one.

SpeedZak - People find Skoda a premium band, no wonder they would love to buy a 2nd Hand Skoda at a premium rate.

The Car is loaded to the brim, there is MultiInformation display and Skodas keys look so good.

I hope they get a 4 pot diesel RS version. Actually i am pretty sure they will.

Actually i sat and thought with a open mind and hence came to the conclusion, i will post my thoughts once the car price is realeased.

A little premium for the extra build quality is not much, atleast you can drive peacefully without any rattles

I am really interested in the vRS, if they get a diesel vRS its sure gonna be a hit.

Why has someone mentioned the Price of the Top End Diesel Model to be around 8.5 Lacs OTR ???????

I just got off the dealer in Agra - Pricing is 5 Lacs upto 6.5 Lacs !!!

6.5 Lacs Ex Showroom for Top end Diesel ( Incl SunRoof / Airbags / Alloys )

So it really is a VFM from Skoda this time.

6.5Lacs ex showroom? That equates to 7.5OTR Mumbai, thats fantastic.

My thoughts.

Swift Diesel with ABS - 5.75L
Rear Wiper with Wash - 25k
Parking Sensors - 3k
Internally adjustable ORVMs - 4k
15inch Alloys and Tires - 40k
Sun Roof - 50k
Remote Locking - 3.5k
Projector Headlamps - 10k
Audio System - 20k(Though most will upgrade this in the Fabia)

Thats almost 7.3L with all the added features and Airbags cant be added.

Cost of The fabulous build quality - Priceless.

So thats the way the Fabia looks good, with better ride and better quality, gearbox then the Swift, it should be a hit.

I too gave my details, got a email saying the dealer will get back to me.

Had a word with Peter. Tunning Box will take power to 90bhp~similar to Swift and Remap will take power to 95bhp

Both available from day 1. So now power is not a issue

Audio System can be termed decent, nothing as good, 4 coax + 2 tweeters wont help much in the sound department.

I was talking diesel, petes does have remaps for Petrols, but only for the RS Petrol Octy and then there are the BMWs, Mercs for which there are remaps.
