ya...!!!!

it should all get very interesting in the small car market now - although the new fabia lacks the visual punch of the older car. it's all become very japanese looking as opposed to a butch european styling of the older version.

7 for the top end is a fair bit of whack and i'm not sure how the people will bite at that price what with the prejudice of it being a "small" car.

anyway - it should shake the market up at the least....

If the prices are correct then this would be the cheapest European car to Buy in India

If it is indeed 7Lacs OTR then its quite cheap comapared to what we have been hearing.

So a Peted Fabia will be around 90bhp, hmmmmm

The price looks great. Skoda will rule the premium hatchback segment if they get the A.S.S right.

Good news. But very disappointing to hear the BHP figures of the diesel motor.

I am not paying 7 lakhs for a 3 cylinder diesel engine. Doesn't matter if Skoda gives me ABS, EBD, 2 airbags, Sunroof etc.

PS: Fiat should watch how the car performs at the sales charts VERY closely.

i think its going to be fair deal at price between 5-7 lacs on road. Skoda wont mass customer base and limited cars on road would also give good feelings to owners as well, they appreciate their luxury buying.

ABS, EBD airbags is worth going for. Fabia has excellent interiors. its very spacious hatch and all in all its goind to be gr8 package.

Skoda dealer in pune askong for 50k as booking amount. demo car and new car delivery would happen in jan 2nd week.

This segment is getting very interesting. With the excise cut on cars under 4 meters, manufacturers are packing in more features and the cars are getting better. They are better value too since one is paying less taxes - that old bugbear of Indian car pricing.

For 7 lakhs would one buy a fully loaded diesel Fabia or a basic Honda City? choices, choices....

Isn’t the Fabia the same as the Volkswagen Polo?
7 lakhs is pretty dear for a Polo.
That added to the “Small cars must be cheap” mentality will make it pretty hard to sell.
But I guess Skoda has a really good name in the Indian market, I don’t think any other country thinks that highly of it, and that might be an advantage.

For the price range and with the features tagged, the car should definitely give the run for money. It should definitely take on the mid size's competitors
