Fabia might have these power mirrors because they have them on the european models. Based on the information I have they are not manufacturing/degrading anything from what they are offering in the European models in India. I would NOT like to compare this with the Octi. It is small car in its own right. This car (Fabia) is never made as sub-standard car compare to the Octi. It is a small family car.

One more thing I have found out is this:

Initially when the car is launched in India only the following colors are offered:

1. Corrida Red
2. Diamond Silver
3. Candy White
4. Black

Unfortunately my favorite colors are not offered. These are the colors they use in all their commercials and their stock pictures. It is stupid of them to not to offer these first in the market.

1. Tangerine orange mettallic
2. Cappuccino Beige metallic
3. Dynamic Blue

The Diesel version is 100K over the Petrol version. You can expect the Diesel higher-end (1.4L 69BHP 3cyls) to be 8.5 Lacs on the road. Petrol higher-end (1.4L 85BHP 4cyls) is going to be 7.5 Lacs on the road.

In Europe they were calling the different variants as Fabia 1, Fabia 2 and Fabia 3 but in India they will be calling these as :

Fabia Classic
Fabia Ambiente
Fabia Elegance

Elegance variant is the higher end of all.

Another disappointing information I have found out is : Disk brakes are only on the front wheels and rear wheels have the drums. But European models have disk brakes on both front and rear wheels. May be they did that for cost cutting.

There is no leather option available even for additional cost.

By the way the booking are open for every one not just for previous Skoda car owners. INR 50K is what is needed to make a booking without knowing whole lot of details.

I believe the European models have climate control which isnt there on the Indian models.

Infact I hope they dont launch the petrol version at all. Im sure the Diesel will be a preferred choice when it comes to a Skoda unless someone wants to save the 1 lakh.

Yes, the price you heard around 7.5 Lacs is exclusive show room price. The 8.5 Lacs quoted for the higher-end diesel version is on the road price.

The Petrol higher-end on the road price was mentioned around 7.5 lacs. So there is a difference of 1Lac between the petrol and diesel version.

Just like i10 set new bench mark for B segments cars.
This fabulous Fabia would set new benchmark for B+ segements. But he rear fabia looks so different than the one I drove in Europe. Lets see more of it before start pouring opinions.

Hyundai would pitch i20 to counter Fabia, then whats up with Maruthi ?

Cheers
