Thanks for postig the pics JayD. The car looks nice in red. Also the beige interiors look neat. But the car doesnt have a climatronic ac!!??..nothing wrong to expect at 8 lacs, i think.

Anything over the 7.5 OTR for the higher-end diesel is way too much.

Considering how Hyundai i10 came up with all the gizmos and nice interiors etc ... everybody in India should start expecting the quality cars.

All these options you are see in Fabia are quite standard that you would expect in Western countries. Just because now the Skoda introducing these in India should not make it expensive.

In my opinion the Indians are paying too much for their cars.

I dont think climate control will be offered. The Honda City which costs about twice as much as a Swift does not offer one in any of it's variants.

The Honda City which costs 'thrice' as much as a WagonR/ Santro never cared to offer ABS till SX4 came along.

In Fabia, the whole focus seems to be the features and the feel good factor. Hopefully they will correct it soon and offer climate control.

It seems (I was told this by a friend, not confirmed news), that the base diesel 'classic', comes in at 7.1-ish OTR Chennai.

And going by the ACI road test, even the base model has pretty decent equipment. They also talked about the class-above comfort and feel.

Great pics - Waiting for Speedzak's review now.

I would say anything over 7 Lacs OTR for top end Model would be a BIGGG Mistake by Skoda.

I would pay the extra 1 Lac and buy the Verna rather ( This is how the Indian Mind Works )

Of course its a Luxury Hatch so it has to be expensive than others, BUT Skoda should not go overboard and price it ridiculously.

Semi-climatic ac?

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is that? How does it work?

Is it not the manual air con then? where you turn on the knob and then press the "ac" button like in majority of cars.

Its the same as a climate control, but u don't get a display showing the temp, position etc. I think the SX4 and the new CRV have this too.

Do any of the variants have black interiors? I really hate the beige interiors.
