I hate this about Skoda, why do they have to decide the interiors with the colour, same is the issue with the Laura

Many manufacturers follow this principle including Mercs, Beemers and Toyotas.

Are your words not too extreme considering you are quoting virtues of a car by degrading two other competent autos?

The issue with a 3 pot motor is the increased vibration (even if mounted properly, with age the vibration will show), and the uneven idling noise. Not sure if this makes sense in a 'luxury' hatchback pricing.

The accent CRDi was priced at 8L+ and had bare basic features with the 3pot diesel it sold like hotcakes.

Infact even teh hatch version the Viva CRDi sold really well.

I am sure skoda/VW have done their homework on the engine's NVH.

That was a notch back not a hatch back, and the Accent sold because it was a sedan, with a boot, the Fabia is not a 3 box.

0 - 100 round 14.5 secs.

Well the Accent used to be around 7.6L OTR, wheras the Fiesta comes out to be 8.5L+ Also people have lots of faith in Hyundai and their servicing, not so much in Ford. And when did the focus come?

We should ask ourselves whether we would buy this car for 8L or not. It's definitely going to be somewhere there.
I will not buy a Skoda hatchback for that price. Atleast 2 lakhs less and I know many would buy.

Absolutely Right !!!

The customer would probably say that they could get a Fiesta / Verna in that price. Then why go for a Hatchback ??

But then the Indian customer is also blind towards the SKODA brand. They would pay anything for a Skoda ( as in Honda also !! )

So I only hope Skoda prices it sensibly so I can also buy one. Else I am happy with a Verna.
