More cities to be covered under CNG

As many as 20 major cities in the country will be covered by environment-friendly fuel, CNG, in the next three years, a senior central government official said here on Thursday.

Any manf has the CNG version as in Maruti Wagon-R with LPG?

No - No company is offering CNG cars in India as of now.

In Xeta, Santro and few others it is available only as an after sale fitment thru company authorised CNG installers, which is not different from other CNG fitments, however the warranty remains intact.

However in Wagon R, LPG option is available from company itself, and the cylinder is hidden beautifully in the boot in place of spare wheel.

Thats good news. Now the cost of CNG kits should come down to LPG levels in order to increase penetration of CNG.
