How Maruti plans to fight competition

However, Suzuki is consciously expanding its image from a maker of mini-cars and small cars, to a company that offers the full range of models.

How do you plan to face the competition from Tata Motors' new car, which has come to be known as the Rs 1 lakh car?
We have read reports that it will be launched some time in 2008. So far, we have not seen the car. There is no clarity yet on important aspects of model such as features, performance, safety, emission and others

Well Maruti has had success with both the SX4 and Grand Vitara in their respective segments. SX4 seems to have been their trump card in helping them shed the image of a small car maker.

Let's see if they can crack into the D segment now?

When Tata launches the 1.5 lakh(on-road) car, Maruti will sell the 800 with AC for 2 lakhs,on-road.
This will happen if Maruti isn't working at 200% its production capacity at that point of time.
Having the hands full is good enough, isn't it?
