Not in this life atleast. LOL

The RS is turbo charged, meaning that it'll produce more power and torque at lower rpms than the Corolla. So the Corolla has no advantage over the RS. It even loses out on the power to weight front.

Plus the Corolla is taller and doesn't handle all that well. The Corolla had just one weapon of destruction "straight line speed", which has now be taken over by the RS.

So, in simple. "NO COMPETITION"

PS : Being a JAp car fan, i'd have preffered the Corolla to win, but with that TC on the Skoda, there's nothin anybody can do or say about it.

Corolla - 9.82
RS - 8.97

Will post the others later as i don't have the RS test issue with me.

From what i remember

1/4 mile
Corolla - 17. something
RS - 16.33

Standing km
Corolla - 31s
RS - 30s

Note : a diff of a sec at a km maynot sound like much, but you have to consider that the RS would be doing close to 170 kmph by that time. So technically, the Corolla would be atleast 47-50 meters behind the RS. That is a lot!!!!

maybe i cant keep up with the octy but its still bloody fast

hi guys!

i am a proud owner of a lancer 1.5 and would like to tell u guys that my lancer still commands the same respect and admiration as it used to 2-3 years back.

its performance can still be compared to the best,and is very satisfying and promising.

O.K.i do agree that H.M's policies have let this beauty down but still its one of the best available in the market in terms of performance, looks and reliability.

i would like to know from u guys wat makes you think that this car is any lesser than its competition.
yes you can say that newer cars are available in the market now even then it is technically one of the most advanced and refined vehicle in the indian car market.

i will post a detailed report in the other section regarding the cars performance very soon.

I absolutely agree with you.Lancer absolutely rocks.Despite being launched in 1999,the car is still a head-turner.Body kits suit Lancer the best.Just a SFXi kit makes it look so sporty.And ofcourse if anyone has heard the exhaust sound after all the mods,its pure `Nirvana`.

This car can put all its competitors to shame an all the other categories,except performance.But thats one thing which can be worked upon.huh!!
