Mahindra

My sole vote is to Mahindra for bringing in Logan, AXE, many variants of Scorpio. Somehow Mahindra not getting accolades for what it is doing?

Suzuki has a majority stake in Maruti Suzuki India Limited hence its called Suzuki. Notice now all cars come with the Suzuki logo rather then the Maruti logo.

Because Logan is highly overpriced and is totally basic for what it costs. Also Scorpio's price has touched the moon with the 2.2 mHawk, the Axe is made for Military purpose, not for the aam junta to buy, so how are we benefitted and why should we choose it as the manufacturer of the year. Logan is a Renault product & marketted by Mahindra, not there own indegenious design

Logan has not been recieved too well, and sales have been below their expectations and falling each month.

Scorpio lost it with the 2.2 specs and pricing

Axe does not have a commercial version as of yet. Would have been excellent if it did.

No wonder Suzuki leads the herd.

However, I expected Hyundai to be in 2nd place!

I think the choice will be TATA for their continous improvement of their products considering their experience in passenger car segment and the range of products and the pricing.

Suzuki will win the race here for sure. They deserve it.

Suzuki all the way. With the launch Swift D and the SX-4 which fits the common man's pocket perfectly its a win win situation for Suzuki.

OT :

On the other hand if we had a thread solely for the SUV's am sure TATA would have taken the pie.Good luck TATA.

Looking at the bad things people say about Tata on this forum, I thought I will be the only person to vote for them. (Even I did not buy their car).

It is surprising that they have two digit mind share (at the time of my voting).

I voted for Tata because the difference between what Tata was, and what they are now, is very vast; so desirable and so satisfying.

Im with Chevy.. they are doing really good in all segments. I really love their fit and finish and safety conscious design and reasonable priceing at every catagory. the only minus I felt was their A.S.S, but they are looking into that too. Its improving everyday. Magnum is the most ractical deisel sedan I have driven in India.

I think we can safely discount all the premium carmakers, as they have very limited market share. Out goes Audi, Bentley, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Porsche, Rolls Royce, VW, Volvo.

Take out the manufacturers without any significant mass market launches and out go Fiat, HM, Honda Mitsubishi, Mahindra, Skoda and Toyota.

So, we just have Ford (Endeavour), Chevrolet (Spark), Hyundai (i10), Mahindra Renault (Logan), Suzuki (Zen Estilo, SX4) and Tata (Safari).

In terms of market success and overall impact, I think Hyundai and Suzuki stand out from the rest. It's tough to pick Hyundai as i10 aside, they have been characterized by missteps and failures this year. So, the manufacturer of the year in my book is Suzuki.

I think the category should be different,

In the general mfgr category

1.MUL
2.Hyundai and GM

In the premium mfgr category
1.Audi
2.BMW

cheers

well IMO this should have been the order of the rating!

1. suzuki
2. tata
3. hyundai!

although i hate the part where hyundai has kicked the price of verna to 9.5lacs onroad, its the getz D that pulls me in their favor!
the tata gets the second place for the new indica turbo with airbags and ABS!
the suzuki for the swift diesel and the sx4!
