DC designed Indian Super Car - Anyone ??

DC designs have come up with a 25 lakh super sports car and where to see it for the first time-AUTO EXPO.as days goes by auto expo is a temptation to all because of the news flashing of the new launches.
The company's designed cars currently draws OEMs and individuals in 50:50 ratio but with this car, Chhabria wants to shift the focus to OEMs and take their contribution to his overall revenues to the extent of 80%. DCD will also come up with a prototype of a super sports car, called DC: S, at the upcoming Auto expo. Falling in the genre of Ferrari and Lamborghini, the car will be entirely produced in India with the company planning to set up a plant in Pune, depending on the response at the Auto expo. "So far Rs 1 crore has been spent on the project and we plan to set up a plant in Pune at an investment of Rs 50-60 crore to roll-out around 300 units that will be sold in India as well as Middle-East," says Chhabria.

While the entire technology will be imported including the 3-litre V6 twin-turbo charged engine, DCD will produce the chassis, interior as well as the lightening system of the sports car that it aims to price around Rs 25 lakh. The company is also eyeing European markets like England and Germany where it hopes to sell DC: S under the single vehicle clearance system.

If some of his recent designs are anything to go by it will be an ugly looking thing.

Very good indeed. Atleast someone is going to produce a real sports car in India.

What me thinks is rolling chassis and engine transmission would be left to proven international vendors to develop and DC would be building the rest of the car on that platform. I have never read from anywhere that DC could do their own platform development.

Will be interesting to see what Jeremy Clarkson would have to say about this car.

Its definitely a good idea.. which big manufacturers could have easily done. Tata had the Aria and Maruti could have easily brought the Cappuccino type car here. They would not have sold in great numbers, but me think.. would have done good to their brand image.
DC is starting something which will make other big manufacturers realise that there is a market for such products and I hope they will follow suit.
