Maruti's stratagy is really wierd. They always launch their cars having either of the head or tail lamps as normal ones (not clear ones). Then after 2 years they will provide clear lamps and will term the car, for e.g as "All new XYZ!". The same goes with the front grill also. Only apprecialble thing here is that they provide atleast one new colour of the car with this "all new stuff".

So guys, get ready for the all new swift!

These are very very minor changes, changes like these go unnoticed on other cars.

Make sure you get the one with the changes, otherwise the dealer is giving you the 2007 model.

1. the tail-lamps have a new design - more transparent - bulbs are more visble now
2. the curve on the back around the number plate has changed - more curvy.
3. Odometer font has been changed and the 'EPS' glow bulb is gone now its a 'steering wheel icon'
4. Digital clock comes pre-fitted now
5. Rs. 9500/- expensive now
6. Front grill has a minor change - the rounded shaped grill spaces are now oval shaped.
7. the fabric on seats have changed - more grey in colour.

And speed_devil its not the one you have posted.
I would be posting some of the pictures shortly.

Don't thnk so as he is informing only grille and other changes. But 9.5k for all these things are too expensive.

Do you know any place @ bglr where we can do this with out doing any damage to the odo?

BTW, can't find any BIG difference from the photo of the so-called facelifted swift. I hope from the showroom we will be able to spot the BIG changes....

3k for Immobilizer, 20k for ABS etc were expenses where the outcome is tangible.

If these are just minor cosmetic upgrades then the 9.5k is better spent aftermarket where once can customise the look as per personal preferences

i guess they got inspired by the pricing on the other diesel hatches (except the indica), the cheapest among which is still 50k more expensive than the most expensive Swift DDIS

Guys, had been to rns motors, bangalore today for my Swift servicing. I did notice that there were no Swifts for display. But unfortunately, I was in a hurry and couldn't dig more information from the showroom folks :-(
