Woah is that a sumo

Boy oh boy Tata is gonna rake up some serious cars i guess going by the looks of it...i have a feeling Tata are gonna take the indian car market like a storm.......wholly cow it looks so damn sophisticated and stylish ..

Man- this site seems to have taken a lot of pics off t-bhp.
anyways- the sumo looks like a montero'ish design. looks nice, wonder how it will be.
Also, -i wonder if it iwll come as a 4x4. (its got the looks!!! )

a much awaited facelift guys. looks really soothing. especially the narrowing glasses towards rear windows, good looking alloys wheels(although now indian SUV/MUVs should also use the 12+ spoke alloys and low profile tyres-looks awesome), pull open door handles, body colored side mirror cowls. the tail lamp reminds me of the one on old mazda5. overall the shape is juicy. how bout the engine? gotta crdi heart transplant or just the older one with some fine tuning?????

just saw on cnbc tv, tata have finally launchd the new sumo with the name of sumo grande.

Launched with the name Tata Grande - Though engine specification or interior details are not out but externally it do look a scorpio killer !!

Tata Motors launches new Tata Sumo Grande at 6.6 lakh
New Delhi | Wednesday, Jan 9 2008 IST


The 7.8 billion dollars company Tata Motors Ltd today launched a new Tata Sumo 'Grande' priced between Rs 6.6 lakh and Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Tata Sumo is powered by a 2.2 dicor engine and the company expects to make the vehicle available to customers by the first week of next month.
The company, that sells about 2,200-2,400 Sumos a month, expects the sales to go up by 30 per cent with this launch.

Even the Indigo compact is launched as Indigo CS.
Sumo is priced at 6.55L to 7.49L.

Is this Sumo grande the same as the Sumo Phoenix or is that going to be a different version. But the price looks hefty for a Sumo
