Tata is hoping that the Sumo sales which now stand at 2000-3000 a month will go up by 30%

I am worried more about the spare part prices. If it is in the same range as that of the Safari DIcor I wonder whether the car would pick up as it should. However the Sumo has more oomph factor now , which might drive up the sales .Looks more like a low priced SUV !

Not sure about the low price. It doesnt have body cladding and it has curvy shapes, especially along the wheel arches. Together these mean a pain to repair in case of shunts, and lot of expense.

The Sumo Grande advert is in process of being shot in Malaysia. I am not at liberty to say exactly where but it is a top notch team. The models are almost all Brazilian.

Saw quite a few of these running around the plant in Pune last week. They seemed fairly silent and it does look good on the move.

Chennai TATA dealer VST Motors says that Sumo Grande has reached his yard and will be available for test drive shortly.

Love the fact that the middle row seats have adjustable reclining position, 3rd row seats will be front facing and the rear AC vents are neatly integrated; all unlike the TATA Safar Dicor 2.2VTT.
