I dont know if it will be comfortable to have the speedo in the center , espescially if you have concerned people sitting in the back seat who can know exactly the speed at which you are driving.

I am thinking that the grill in the bottom would be for two level vents for the A/C

advantage : a retro style

disadvantage : everyone will be peeking at your car's vital statistics in motion.

IMO, a waste.

Hey tushky thanks for those pics.
Could you please post some of rear seat pics as well as boot space?
In one of the threads you had mentioned that the rear seats are like sofa.
The side profile looks like they have squeezed the boot.

Hi Tushky, Great snaps. Thanks.
IMHO the central control is an invasion of the drivers privacy. The entire car can see how fast/ slow he is going. And the buttons on either side of the " Hazard light" switch look like flicked out off an old tape recorder.. Yuckkk... Definitely could use some improvement

I think the small rectangular grill at the passengers and driver's floor level are not AC vents. They should have some adjusters on them if they were vents. Just my 2 cents worth though! The internal space looks larger than the V2. Would they have compromised on boot space?

Far simpler / cheaper for the manufacturer to make right-hand and left-hand drive versions too!

do the ac vents for the feet in your car have adjusters?

With the Nano taking the Auto Expo by storm, I think they had to redo their stall and put all 3 Nanos up on the centrestage. As a result all other Tata vehicles had to be moved to the sidelines, including the new Indica which I feel should've taken centrestage along with the Nano and the Sumo Grande.

Instead the Indigo CS was pushed to a cable-filled corner, the new Indica was given whatever space could be called 'centre' for the sidelines and the Sumo Grande was in another corner. The Nano literally blew them all away, but I feel Tata should've planned for this. A manufacturer of this size also requires a hall all to themselves, but they had to share 50:50 with 4 Fiat models.

The new Indica is HUGE. It is so wide it will dwarf any of the so-called large-hatches available or yet to be launched. Its really wide and 3 large people should be able to sit quite comfortably in the rear seat. Bonnet is also much longer than the current Indica's. We didnt get a lot of time to spend there nor were the Tata guys willing to open the car for us, so we left it at that. Looks very good, though.

Here you go:

For those that think this is merely a facelift, think again. The New Indica is huge and really wide. Enough space for 3 extra-large adults in the rear. The grille looks large because the car is wider.

Great pics Steeroid. I see big panel gaps. I had hoped that Tata's would have improved in that.

From the pictures posted, there is no change to the rear compared to the current Indica

My thoughts as well. That left rear-3 quarter view is as an Indica's. Since this car is expected to be at a higher price range than the current Indica, it wouldnt have done badly to not make it look too much like the current Indica.
